Nikola Power, a CCIA member company solving the problem of intermittent renewable energy with software and technology solutions, recently published an excellent summary of the state of energy storage in 2019: “Energy Storage Midyear Snapshot.”

Some high level takeaways: solar plus storage options are increasingly important, state governments across the country are seeing the need for this and enacting positive legislation with ambitious renewable goals, battery prices are dropping and the market for the storage technology is expanding. Finally, and predictably, given the trends listed above, the hot market for solar energy is driving adoption of storage.
