The Colorado Cleantech PAC is a registered state political committee established to fund-raise, endorse and make contributions to elect state-level candidates to improve the environment for business and innovation in Colorado’s cleantech sector. The bi-partisan Colorado Cleantech PAC is affiliated with CCIA but is a separately funded and registered entity.

Political contributions are not deductible for income tax purposes. Colorado State Law authorizes corporate contributions to be made to political action committees, such as the Colorado Cleantech PAC, Section 1-45-103.7, CRS.

What is Cleantech?

Cleantech is defined as technologies that promote the use of all forms of energy (renewable & traditional) as efficiently as possible and also includes water and waste. Cleantech focuses on utilizing innovation and new technologies to create new companies, grow existing companies and create jobs here in Colorado.

How are the candidates selected?

The Colorado Cleantech PAC Board selects candidates for endorsement based on their support for clean energy technologies and through their voting record on legislation impacting the cleantech business community. The Colorado Cleantech PAC works closely with state-level policy makers to actively support legislation and policy that helps grow the cleantech ecosystem in Colorado.

What is the source of the funding?

The Colorado Cleantech PAC gets funding solely from the contributions of businesses and individuals.
