The Colorado Cleantech Awards Celebration brings the cleantech community together to honor the creativity, innovation, and dedication to a cleaner energy future put forth by Colorado’s entrepreneurs, educators, corporate innovators, volunteers and policymakers.

Bigger and better than ever, we welcomed nearly 400 attendees who celebrated the best and brightest in Colorado’s cleantech ecosystem. Now in it’s 7th year, this much-anticipated annual event showcased an outstanding keynote speaker and recognized teams from the Cleantech Open and presented awards to cleantech leaders from across the state.

We were excited to welcome the Rocky Mountain Cleantech Open (RMCTO) to the party. Following a speed-pitch session, Cleantech Open leaders announced the teams selected to move on to the national competition. Winning teams will have a shot at a portion of the $1 million purse.

Teams headed to California in 2017 to compete for the top awards include: Urbix Resources, Big Blue Technologies, Crystal Clear Technologies

One of the most popular and in-demand speakers in the country, Stacy shared his unique global vision with our cleantech community. His inspiring story and refreshing perspective brought laughter and a few tears to the audience.

About Stacy
Stacy Bare, 2014 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year & 2015 SHIFT Conservation Athlete of the Years is a climber and skier, the Director of Sierra Club Outdoors (SCO)–getting 250,000+ people out each year; and a veteran of the Iraq war.

He co-founded the Great Outdoors Lab in 2014 to put scientifically defensible data behind the idea of time outside as healthcare in partnership with Dr. Dacher Keltner at the Greater Good Science Center at UC-Berkeley.

He is a brand ambassador for The North Face and Combat Flip Flops. He holds degrees from the Universities of Mississippi and Pennsylvania and is at home in Salt Lake City with his wife and daughter Wilder.
