About the CCIAF
The goal of the Colorado Cleantech Industries Association Foundation (CCIAF) is to extend the reach and scope of CCIA’s current educational programs and accelerate the pace of economic development in the cleantech sector. As a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization, CCIAF will be eligible to receive financial support from private foundations. The increased access to funding will, in turn, allow CCIAF to have the financial means necessary to expand and sustain the scope of its educational programs, including the Cleantech Fellows Institute, and more directly address its university outreach activities.
According to the findings of the 2010 Colorado Cleantech Action Plan, a five-month analysis and planning initiative by CCIA that was funded by the State of Colorado and U.S Economic Development Administration, it is vitally important to the economic success of the cleantech sector in the region to, among other things:
- Coordinate the training and equipping of the workforce to serve this emerging sector;
- Enhance the leadership capacity of executives who will form and grow the companies in the sector; and,
- Increase the pace of commercialization of university-created technology for the formation of new companies.
